    • @Cibervirus83

      The ratings are good to 600lbs. But I've capped it at 250lbs for safety. Honestly, even at that though the sag on the cable is too much to enjoy. 140lbs over that distance, height and just "turn buckle tension" is a preferred max load for enjoyment.

      Cold liquid propane (in october my supply tank is stored outside) being vaporized off into a sealed container does not vaporize like if you just open your tank to the atmosphere outside. The full tank pressurizes the empty tank in a second, but that vaporization of propane without a pressure drop takes quite a while to occur on its own in an equal pressure siphon scenario. And you need a tank of just vapor and not mostly liquid to get a fireball with only a second of valve release. Liquid can't vaporize fast enough. You could heat one tank and chill the other to speed yourself to over 100psi, but I'm never in a hurry.

    Hey, two years or so late here but could you ha e added the second mesh sheet to the bottom of the top half of the frame? That way when you lift it up you can easily clean the bottom mesh sheet.

    • @Cibervirus83
      @Cibervirus83 2 роки тому

      There's only one mesh sheet sandwiched between the two frames. In it's current form you could just lift the top frame of the pins and have access to the mesh edges for cleaning or changing. But once the frames sandwich the mesh, i rarely ever remove frames...just clean the mesh top and good to go. No disassembly required.

One suggestion if you'd like to lift the unit up from the sink would be to just add 4 stainless steel screws on the corners. I love the trex Idea as well, that or PVC should do as well. @steveareeno65 2 роки тому

      I’ve spent decades working around septic systems and although the metal lint screens may be cheap, they don’t work very well. You still end up with a lot of lint and fibers in your septic system, which can shorten its life because the fibers don’t break down at all (if there synthetic) or take a very long time to break down for stuff like cotton. This lint ends up creating a layer in your drain field that eventually plugs up the soil pours, causing your system to fail. If you don’t have a private septic it’s not a big deal but if you do have a private septic it’s important to have a good lint trap on your washing machine

    Too bad it only lasts less than a minute. Nice though. Note-Don't ever try to put 190 PSI in a fire extinguisher. They only hold about 80PSI at the green mark. Have used shop air and a rubber tipped blow gun a few times to recharge them. Thanks for the idea!

    • @Cibervirus83
      @Cibervirus83 3 роки тому

      We may be using different tanks. This fire extinguishers green mark is labeled at 185 psi. In fact to charge the tank the pressure must exceed 200psi to open the valve. The tank is rated to 400psi. I charge to 185psi and that flame will go a long time if i don't back off on it. A 10sec blast only consumes about 2 cups of gas. I've put a whole gallon through it before in one-shot with no effect on tank pressure.

    Hey man! Big fan of your builds - im an earth and atmospheric scientist working on the study of tornadogenisis and I'm hoping to design a cannon that'll be used to fire a probe holstering a 360° Camera and other devices used to track things such as temperature, humidity, dew point, wind speed and direction,. though I'd be lying if I said if I knew how to fabricate the cannon to even fire it - so I was wondering if we could possibly collaborate to produce something? Cheers from Toronto!

    • @Cibervirus83
      @Cibervirus83 4 роки тому

      You're gonna need a big cannon. I'm always up for spit balling some ideas. I'm thinking for power and size you may want to look into air cannon styles rather than combustion style launchers. The size I use should probably be max for firing in close proximity for safety.
